EPDM rubber Like Neoprene, EPDM provides a watertight seal, but it isn’t as effective as Neoprene when it comes to oil and chemical exposure.
EPDM rubber is excellent at weatherproofing due to its resistance to ageing, UV, ozone and oxidation; it also provides excellent thermal conductive and NVH solution. EPDM rubber has a shore hardness of 65° ± 5° and consists of a smooth finish on both sides. EPDM rubber is a highly versatile material and is used within a number of key industries, including automotive, commercial vehicle, technology and electrical, HVAC, industrial and construction for a variety of solutions. EPDM rubber is also a price competitive alternative, when compared to silicone rubber. EPDM rubber is not recommended for use in applications with continual petroleum contact and any food based applications.
