Polyethylene Foam
Polyethylene foam is also known as PE and LPDE foam, it is very rigid and resilient. It is generally used in a variety of applications, the advantage of Polyethylene foam is its strength and how lightweight it is comparable to heavier chemically formed foams.
The smooth surface offers excellent consistency, gauge control and low water absorption and vapour transmission. Materials in this range are extremely durable and have exceptional, Ozone, UV, chemical and weather resistant which provide Acoustic, NVH, Thermal and High Performance sealing properties.
At Ramsay we stock Polyethylene Foam buns. This allows us to offer our customers thicknesses of between 2mm – 145mm, if you are interested in Our Capabilities, please click the link. We also stock a variety of specialist grades, such as fire rated (FR) and firm grades, that offer a high density, for more rigorous applications.
Ramsay supply a wide range of plain or adhesive backed Polyethylene Foam Die Cut Gaskets, Foam Tapes, Thermoforming and Fabrication & Assembly. A majority of our polyethylene products are supplied to automotive, construction and engineering industries, this is due to polyethylene’s material properties and flexibility of solutions it provides, in relation to sealing properties, light weighting and economical cost in relation to sponge materials.
